An Account Manager role part of the FBB MEA team, focused on developing the East Africa Baking and Food business based in Kenya, reporting to Head of Africa Baking Africa.
Tasks and responsibilities
Develop our business in the Food and Beverage business – Baking (prospect, acquire new customers and develop existing ones as per the Novonesis Strategy).
Build relationships between key strategic accounts at Novonesis and provide account management to ensure a high-quality standard in commercial, supply chain and technical interactions between customers and Novonesis.
Turn business and industry development into sales opportunities and propose financially effective solutions by providing input.
Contribute to Industry Group Management and Global Marketing in terms of general account trends, competition, industry dynamics, etc.
Follow up with customer service after the sales process to ensure accurate demand planning.
Support account teams daily with sales operations.
Collect necessary customer data and record it appropriately in Salesforce and SAP.
Be responsible for the utilisation of customer and insight-based sales approach.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum basic requirements for successful performance in this job, including language skills if relevant.
Hold a degree (MSc or MBA) in business administration, sales & marketing or a technical degree or equivalent with experience.
Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant job experience, preferably with experience from a multi-national in the Food Ingredients Industry
Experience in baking is highly preferable.
Knowledge of the account management process and international sales experience will be a plus.
Have a commercial focus and growth-oriented mindset, with a passion for tasks related to the sale and promotion of technical products
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to be able to create mutually beneficial solutions and maintain good relations with the customers
Fluency in English is a requirement
Enjoy interacting within teams, navigating both an internal network of colleagues and an external network of partners and customers
Have a strong drive, positive mindset, high ability to learn, goal-oriented, well organised, a can-do attitude and teamwork skills working with colleagues globally
Ability to travel frequently with the majority of African travel. Min 50% travel.
Ability to drive inspirational & convincing dialogues with customers
Proficient in IT Skills, SAP knowledge is a plus.
