Job Purpose???????
The accountants are responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating and implementing financial and accounting functions in the Agency. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.
Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:
Assisting in the collection of revenue;
Assisting in compiling data on payments made by the Institution;
Assisting in computing asset depreciation and verifying balances on each account;
Participating in organizing approval of payment documents, allocation of funds for the payments, and effecting the payments;
Dispatching cheques;
Managing the petty cash;
Keeping custody of accounting documents; and
Filing accounting documents.
Persons Specifications???????
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Cumulative service period of three (3) years' work experience in the grade of Accounts Assistant III or in a comparable;
Kenya Accountants Technician Certificate final;
OR
Part I of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
Proficiency in computer applications;
