Scope of Responsibilities:
The Admissions Assistant provides support to the Admissions Manager to help ensure that the admissions process for potential new families is positive and efficient. She/he is required to maintain accurate student/parent data, help maintain organized admissions procedures and assist the Admissions Manager in promoting a positive relationship with the current and prospective parent community, one that accurately reflects the school’s Mission, Vision and Educational Aims.

Specific Responsibilities:
Enter and maintain accurate student/parent data into the school management database in a timely manner
Track inquiries, applications and accepted students to provide the Admissions Manager with historical data in order to inform year-to-year projections
Answer phone calls and email inquiries to coordinate appointments with new families
Provide a welcoming atmosphere for current and prospective parents and students
Conduct friendly and knowledgeable campus tours for prospective new families
Prepare and maintain admission folders for each applicant, including scholarships applications
Coordinate on site student assessments with the divisional assistants and coordinate distance assessment tests as required
Assist with planning and carrying out events such as the New Family Orientation and Open Days
Promote the Mission, Vision and Educational Aims of the International School of Kenya
Perform other duties as needed or requested by the Admissions Manager

Required Qualifications, Skills and Qualities:
Diploma in Business Administration
Secretarial training and skills with the ability to multitask in a fast paced office setting
Experience working with databases
Excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality, a person who enjoys meeting new people and can communicate easily with people of all ages and cultures
Good communication skills
Proficient in Word, Excel and Google Docs
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and trust with both colleagues and prospective and current ISK families
Optimistic attitude to life and work
Demonstrates an ethical approach to work
Commitment to continuous personal growth
Fluent in English and Kiswahili (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Qualities:
Bachelor Degree
Proficiency with school management software or a similar complex database
Multilingual
