Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
Registered with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quality Surveyors of Kenya
Have a minimum of 8 years of similar work experience with a reputable organization both as project architect and project manager
Have evidence-based experience of working through all architectural stages from concept design to running a job site
Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT and equivalent software

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director Facilities the incumbent will offer architectural and construction support towards the management of construction projects that will include design and management of projects undertaken by a team of external consultants as well as the architectural design and management of projects undertaken in-house.
Develop project/construction management policy, procedure and protocols in line with institutional policies and practices
Oversee project design, planning, execution and handover; ensuring adherence project cost, scope and quality baseline.
Lead in the production of schematic design, design development, cost plan and Tender drawing, Bill of Quantities and other construction documents in consultation with stakeholders;
Review new projects for compliance with the master plan to ensure smooth integration of the project;
Prepare project feasibilities and review documents for quality control evaluation to ensure optimal utilization of resources to achieve the organizational goals;
Plan, coordinate and maintain project design schedules to ensure projects are complete within budget and agreed timelines;
Monitor project progress day to day basis; conduit site meeting, review change/variation request; furnish request for information(RFI) and resolve coordination issues among different.
Ensure proper review of valuations and bills submitted by contractors.
Ensure all snag lists are attended before issuance of certificate of completion. Ensure Ensure close out documentation and project archives are completed;
Attend regular meeting with clients, consultants, contractors and other specialists to build strategic relationship with key stakeholders;
Lead the quality assurance team during construction;
Actively seek new design and construction methods;
Oversee in-house construction phases of projects;
Manage an in-house team and assign tasks and responsibilities to provide strategic support in establishing spaces and designs that are in line with our standards.
