IPOA/HR/08/2024:Job PurposeResponsible for provision of leadership in effective management and coordination of the Authority's functions in the Regional Offices.Key Responsibilities/ Duties / TasksManagerial / Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCoordinate implementation of policies, strategies, guidelines, plans, standards and procedures for effective management of respective Regional Office;Coordinate implementation of management decisions in the Regional Office;Oversee coordination of activities in the Regional Office;Oversee management of finances allocated to the Regional Office;Coordinate provision of resources for Regional Office operations;Coordinate stakeholder engagement initiatives and outreach activities in the region;Coordinate identification of risks and formulate mitigation measures in the region;Steer staff coaching, mentorship and capacity development activities within the region;Guide in consolidation of annual work plans at Regional Office;Oversee staff performance management in the Region Office;Oversee staff performance management for staff in the region; andSteer management of records in the respective Regional Office.Operational Responsibilities / TasksReview and consolidate reports from county offices under their purview for submission to the relevant offices;Foster collaborative working relationships with other directorates and departments for effective management of the respective Regional Office;Chair Regional Office staff meetings;Monitor implementation of annual work plans at Regional Office;Develop periodic individual performance reports; andImplement risk mitigation measures.Job Dimensions:I. Working ConditionsPredominantly in an office setting with occasional field travel.Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).Academic qualificationsMaster's Degree from a recognized institutionBachelor's Degree from a recognized institutionProfessional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodiesProfessional qualifications and membership to a professional body where applicable Registered with a relevant professional body where applicable;Leadership course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.Previous relevant work experience required.Served in the position of County Coordinator or Principal Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years at IPOA grade 6 or for a period of twelve (12) years in a comparable position in the Public or private sector.
