Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management Services At Tharaka Nithi County Assembly

Requirements for Appointment:Be an employee of Tharaka Nithi CountyA Bachelor's Degree in any of the following: Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement, Supply Management, Marketing or their equivalent qualification & from a recognized institutionA Master's Degree in Supply Chain Related field will be added advantageHas a minimum of 5 years' experienceA Member of a recognized KISM or SCM professional bodyProficiency in computer proficiencyShown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and resultsDuties and Responsibilities:The officer reports to the Director Supply Chain Management and will be responsible for assisting the Director Supply Chain Management Services in:Analyzing Supply Chain Management structures and system's; determining and proposing methods and strategies of handling the Supply Chain Management functionInitiating and developing Supply Chain Management policies; and performance improvement strategies that are adaptive to the changing environment and technologyCoordinate development of strategic plans for the Directorate of Supply Chain ManagementImplementation of Public Procurement and Assets Disposal Act; 2015 and other statutes, rules and regulations and ensuring adherence to the laid down procedures, rules and regulationsAnalyzing the impact of Supply Chain Management policies, rules and regulationsAdvising the Accounting Officer on Supply Chain Management mattersEnsuring high professional Supply Chain Management standard assisting in procurement planning and budget preparationAdvising the county Government on Supply Chain Management mattersInterpreting of other laws and statutes that relate to Supply Chain ManagementEnsuring that all officers working in the supply chain management unit are registered with KISM or any other recognized professional body in SCMAny other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time
