What does your job as an Assistant Financial Accountant at Florensis entail?•Responsible for day-to-day registration of purchase invoices, bank transactions, payroll transactions, and all other bookkeeping transactions•Responsible for the consistency and accuracy of the general ledger•Preparing monthly and annual balance sheet and income statements, and other ad hoc statements upon request•Monthly forecasting of costs and revenues•Managing tax payments•Creating and processing VAT and WHT declarations•Preparation of budgets together with the local Management Team•Monitoring and reporting of accounting discrepancies•Conducting detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments•Analyses of financial trends•Supporting monthly payroll processes•Liaising with external auditors to ensure that annual monitoring is carried out•Ensuring that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and are properly functioning at all times•Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland RevenueAbout you Proven work experience as an Assistant Financial Accountant preferably in an international environment Advanced knowledge of MS Office/365 and accounting software In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures Solid knowledge of Kenyan accounting principles and local tax regulations Excellent excel and math skills with an attention to detail Time-management abilities Confidentiality Preferably a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance Certified Public Accountant(CPA, at least section 4) will be an added advantage Excellent oral representation, writing, and reading skills in English, Ability to adapt to and perform well in a multicultural setting, composed of people from different backgrounds and strong opinions.
