Job Description/Requirements
JOB LOCATION:NAIROBI
Salary:15,000 - 20,000
Key Responsibilities
1. Researching and following up on procurement opportunities and applications.
2. Obtaining and analysing quotations, proposals or bids in line with qualities and procedures/procurement policy
3. Preparing purchase orders and following up on deliveries
4. Keeping and maintaining appropriate procurement records
5. Keeping and maintaining accounting and financial records
6. Preparing the relevant reports in view of the scope of work
7. Ensuring that procurement requests are justified and within defined specifications and budgetary allocation
8. Data verification, particularly for invoicing purposes and check validity of invoices sent by suppliers
9. Managing all office supplies especially stationeries, repairs & maintenance and other consumables
10. Supporting the other departments as necessary
Qualifications and Competences
1. Higher Diploma in purchasing and supplies. Qualifications in accounting is an added advantage.
2. At least 2-3years relevant experience in the relevant field
3. Good negotiation skills, Interpersonal and analytical skills
4. Computer literate especially proficiency in MS Office computer packages and ERP software
5. Proper understanding of imports, customs procedures and related documentation
6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
7. High level of integrity with excellent communication and customer service skills
8. Ability to work under minimum supervision, mature and proactive
