Business Development Manager

We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele in new territories. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to build & lead a team and apply an effective sales strategy.Devise and execute new business development strategy, growth plans and consequently handhold and manage new & Existing business accountCoordinate tender application and bid requirement with your team, liaise with other departments to provide information required and attend bid opening sessionsManage pipeline opportunities and leads from various sources including the board, networking sessions, sponsorship, and referralsManage and build Business Development team. Hold training and coaching sessions with the team members to ensure that they are skilled and up- skilled to deliver on their targets and handle clientsSales performance monitoring and planning through participation in various meetings addressing periodic targets, performance, and progress of business leads. Generating accurate periodical reports to be used at the operational and strategic levelsPlay a championing role in liaison with technical teams to co-develop innovative solutions for customersProactively build beneficial networks at the industry and organizational level for visibility and business expansion and purposeFoster and protect Ponty Pridd Holdings brand and image.Must embrace a strong safety culture for all fleet and staff. Must also spearhead and take full control of all our clients safety audit models to ensure we operate under the clients standard if not above- benchmark on “Zero harm, Zero accidents, Zero tolerance”Any other duty assigned to you by the Managing DirectorQualificationsDegree in Marketing/ Business Management or related field of studyA minimum of 5 years’ experience in preferably Transport & logistics or a B2B related industrySkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong Sales/Business Development knowledge and experienceStrong in Commercial strategy development , implementation and analytical skillsEntrepreneurial, organized ,proactive and hands-on mentality.A diverse network of business contacts, especially in Supply chain and logistics industryAbility to work independently and collaborativelyEnjoy a challenging environment and working in a dynamic environment.Willingness to travel extensively across the country.CompetenciesDemonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and improve the profitability and competitive performance of the businessDemonstrated ability in identifying and responding to current and future customer needs, delivering innovative products, and service excellenceAbility to work on own initiative, meet tight deadlines and balance priorities to achieve results
