We are seeking a Senior ACS Software Developer to join our Digital team
The incumbent will be an active member of our Digital Technology development team responsible for building responsive, secure, and innovative solutions in the ACS platform and multiple channels across WestJet’s network.
This role will provide technical expertise and lead the development team in creating high-quality software solutions by designing and developing high-quality code/content, templates, and workflows within the Adobe Campaign Platform. Applies industry-standard processes, practices, and techniques. Leads the development team and business stakeholders to develop appropriate software systems that meet WestJet’s business, technical and quality requirements. Is a coach and mentor to other developers. This position requires an energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others are essential.

Key deliverables include:
Lead the development team in working with business stakeholders to define and prepare functional and design specifications of new features/products on ACS platform
Provide accurate estimates for development effort, complexity, and risk for ACS development sustainment streams and capital projects
Act as Technical Lead on projects as assigned working closely with internal and external developers, as well as Product owner and stakeholders.
Assist technical support staff, project managers, and users as needed to support business applications by diagnosing complex production issues requiring extensive analysis and troubleshooting
Balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment
Provide ACS technical expertise and coaching to developers
Design and develop automated unit and integration tests for front and back-end code that define and validate feature/product requirements
Design and develop robust new ACS features and enhancements or modify existing ones, including their configuration, Java code, client libraries, and templates that meet business, technical and quality requirements
Work with technology, product, and business partners to design and develop reusable templates, features, and services.
Identify and document functional and technical requirements
Provide technical expertise in how to manage code and resolve conflicts with other development initiatives
Collaborate with tech leads, front-end developers, back-end developers, QA, business stakeholders, and Product owners to design and build a front end experience in ACS
Quickly understand and be responsible for a complex codebase and the relationship between ACS front end, ACS back end, middleware, and various API
Work closely with Vendor partner to ensure sound practices regarding site architecture, performance and reliability, and content delivery are in place
Participate in an On-Call Support rotation ensuring the uptime of the web properties
Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues that impact an overall implementation effort.

Experience and qualifications:
5+ years of development and configuring experience working in Adobe Campaign Standard
Significant experience in building complex HTML websites and email templates, ACS workflows, unsubscribe pages and target new pages.
Significant experience in building integrations of ACS with multiple Adobe products including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Message Centre, etc.
Significant experience in cross optimization of mobile devices and web browsers
Experience with mentoring or training junior developers in ACS specific product knowledge integration and development ACS
Understanding of the broader Adobe Marketing Cloud product stack, web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, client-side scripting, and JavaScript (Ext JS or Angular JS/Java Application development
Exposure to RDBMS/SQL/Web Services
Strong experience in using the following aspects of ACS: workflow configuration, authoring environments, User Administration and Assets
Significant experience with implementing marketing automation campaigns by identifying segments, building/setting campaigns, emails, landing pages, and forms/forms processing
Significant experience with performing A/B testing, monitoring campaign performance, and leading optimization efforts
Experience in developing training documentation and technical specifications
Ability to create schematics of data and user flow scenarios
Ability to configure data load jobs
Ability to work with IT delivery and cybersecurity teams to troubleshoot deliverability issues
Strong experience in Javascript, Servlet, and JSP development
Experience with DevOps, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, agile development, and release/configuration management. Preferably using, but not limited to, Azure Dev Ops or Adobe Cloud Manager.
Strong experience with, or similar to, the following technology related to the above: Java, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Vue.js, CSS, XML, JSON, HTL (Sightly), OSGI, Java Content Repository (JCR), Apache Maven, Adobe Dynamic Media, Linux.
Experience analyzing business requirements, functional requirements, and system-wide technical specifications and interfaces.
3+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Ajax, OSGI, JCR, and SQL.
Nice to have Adobe Certified Expert as ACS developer or ACS architect or Comparable CMS certification
Expertise in mobile web development and responsive web design
