The CFO will provide strategic leadership and direction for all financial operations across the client's businesses. The CFO is responsible for group-wide financial planning, consolidation, reporting, compliance, internal controls, and capital efficiency—ensuring that all entities operate with strong financial discipline and aligned reporting standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and lead the financial strategy for all the client's group entities.
Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, capital allocation, risk management, and investment opportunities.
Drive financial and fiscal efficiency, cost control, and sustainable growth across the group.
Group Consolidation & Reporting
Own the consolidation of financial reports across all group companies.
Standardize accounting policies, reporting formats, and financial processes.
Supervise the preparation of group-level management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and board packs.
Oversee the Group Financial Controller (or outsourced consolidation partner).
Entity Oversight & Financial Operations
Directly manage Finance Managers in the different businesses.
Maintain dotted-line coordination with local GMs to align finance with operational goals.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, audit standards, and statutory obligations in each country.
Performance Management & KPIs
Implement robust financial KPIs, dashboards, and performance tracking across entities.
Support entity leaders with insights, trend analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Work closely with Swangz-specific Financial Controller (if appointed) to track production, music, and IP-related revenue streams.
Internal Controls & Governance
Ensure strong financial controls, risk mitigation frameworks, and audit readiness.
Collaborate with the Internal Auditor; ensuring independent audit functions are effective and respected.
Treasury & Funding
Manage group cash flows, intercompany transfers, and capital requirements.
Support fundraising efforts, investor reporting, and corporate development initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/ACCA preferred.
8+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including multi-entity and multi-country operations.
Strong understanding of creative industries, media, events, and digital business models.
Experience of the management of Intellectual Property in the form of Music and Video rights, Royalties Distribution and Digital Assets will be a plus.
Demonstrated experience in financial consolidation, internal controls, KPI tracking, and audit preparation.
Proven leadership in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
