Pet Store Kenyais looking for a qualified Community Manager to join their team. If you are a tech-savvy professional, experienced in social media, PR and promotional events, we would like to meet you.
Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community.
Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brand and manage all community communications.
Responsibilities
Manage content accuracy of the website including products, sales, messaging, graphics
Work with Digital Media service providers on cross-posting content to the website
Create artwork/graphics/poster artwork for print and online publication
Create artwork as needed for Youtube or any other Social media channels if needed (unlikely)
Drive planning, direction and deployment of the Youtube video assets
Drive planning, direction and deployment of internal training videos so that we have an internal training library
Manage the communications calendar for communicating to our various customer segments via email, WhatsApp, SMS and phone calls
Manage ongoing gift-giving / rewards to loyal customers
Plan and execute any offline marketing activities like shows, activations, booths
Curate (and possibly write) short articles on pet-related topics if required
Post and maintain our website blog
Execute back end campaigns that may include landing pages for offers, bundles, email contact database growth
Work closely with the sales team to ensure that we are marketing the correct products each month
Work with the supply chain and warehousing team to assist in marketing slow-moving / overstock items in creative ways
Design and implement cross-selling and upselling campaigns on and offline
Manage community communication and posting on our Social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (a non-business account only, a business account will be managed by an external Social Media manager)
Analyze and report on Digital analytics of social media channels and the e-commerce site
Interface with all print publications
Manage relationships/initiatives / CSR with relevant stakeholders: KSPCA, TNR and other animal organizations.
Requirements
3+ proven work experience as a community manager or similar role
Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)
Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent writing skills
Hands-on experience with social media management for brands
Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
