The Compliance and Legal Assistant will also support the business in ensuring that the internal and external regulatory environment is strictly adhered to.
Job Description
Monitor legal risk in documentation and advise management and Clients appropriately
Responsible for drafting oversee contract between the company and third parties.
Responsible for drafting confidentiality agreements between the company and third parties
Responsible for drafting confidentiality agreements between the company and employees
Interpret laws, rulings and regulations related to the Business and its Clients.
Manage regulatory compliance with the various government bodies.
Conduct due diligence
Coordinates and engages with outside counsel on legal matters, as needed.
Responsible for patenting all logos and documentation for the company and its clients
Coordinate and facilitate the incorporation and set up of businesses
Advisory and guidance to clients based on corporate governance principles
Maintain the company’s statutory registers and books
File statutory documents at the Companies Registry and conduct searches
File annual returns and any other statutory forms with the Registrar of Companies
Update the annual returns diary
Attending registries and/or other government offices for purposes of including: filing, registrations, making payments, making applications, fixing dates, perusals and searches, extracting court orders, obtaining consents, obtaining conveyancing demands and certificates.
Effecting service and delivery of requisite dispatch;
Arranging files in the legal cabinet and filing documents in the relevant files.
Undertake general administration duties as may be required from time to time
Accomplish assignments to the satisfaction of management and to the firm’s standards
Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Director and manager of the department and any officer as delegated by the Chief Operating Officer, Managing Partner and/or Chief Executive Office
Key Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Candidates with Commerce/ Business, Economics or At least Certified Public Secretary (CPS) Section 5. CPS-K will have an added advantage
At least 1 year experience in a similar Job
