Our client is a company that distributes compressors within the East African region. With over 20 years in operation they one stop shop for a total engineered solutions that include
Supply, design, project management, installation, commissioning and full after sales service. They are looking forward to filling a Compressor Technical Sales Engineer role. The ideal candidates will be responsible for direct sales of compressors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Achieve the sales quote for the assigned region and customers.
• Promote the entire range of products in the portfolio.
• Obtain in-depth understanding of the assigned market and customer and develop a business plan.
• Building an effective business relationship with major customers, partners and agents.
• Implement marketing plans and activities in line with the sales goals.
• Map the product and solution offering to the customers, markets and industry.
• Adding new customers and maintaining the existing ones.
• Understanding various customer applications in the industrial sector and proposing suitable products and solutions.
DESIRED CANDIDATE
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a compressor technical engineer.
• Ability to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment.
• Must have extensive knowledge or be able to quickly learn about technologically sophisticated products and be able to explain their advantages and answer questions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to talk to people from all social groups, including high end decision makers and to close deals.
• Well-presented and articulate.
• Ability to take the initiative.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Good persuasive and interpersonal skills.
