Search for Common Ground (Search) has used participatory theater as a tool and approach in conflict transformation around the globe and in South Sudan in particular, in the process to support the YEA project, support to building the capacity of the youth corps who will be identified and selected for the participatory theater troops such that they are able to improve their skills on theatre of express skill for contributing to forum theatre and then their ability to promote and train Forum Theater to other partners and youths who are interested in this method.ResponsibilitiesTraining on forum theatre:Communication Skills with specification on Public speakingAnalytical Skills. Problem solving, team work and leadershipOrganizational Skills. Collaboratively developing an initiativeTechnical Skills. Playwriting story lines development and practice of improvisationOrganizational Skills and people's observation and their behaviors.Improving performance skill to the identified youth corps such skills includes Characteristic skills immerse in character, Speaking and conversation in the theater, face expression and emotional, body language in the theatre Practicing performance on the stage or Stage design Music/ sound attraction during the performance Practicing performance on the stage or Stage public performanceDeliverablesAgenda for the training including the content Delivery (methodology) of the training Practicing Theatre with the trained youths and community Practicing one Theatre in Public space in each CountySearch will be responsible for:Providing the meeting room and refreshments for the training Providing input into the agenda process before the training Engaging actively and providing support in the workshop sessions Mobilize the participants and coordinate with local authoritiesRequirementsDiploma in Creative Art / Drama or a related fieldAt least 2 years working on Forum theatre Excellent facilitation skills Ability to manage the available time and resources and to work to tight deadlines Understanding of current NGO sector in South Sudan and local dynamicsConsultant shall be paid $100 per day worked.
