Dentist

Reports to:
Head of Clinical Services
The following will be the Duties of the dentist at Kilimani Childrens Clinic
• Keep parents advised with regards to preventive health care measures of their children
• Plan long term dental hygiene programs for all patients
• Perform risk assessments for dental ailments in both children and their parents
• Diagnose and Provide all types of dental treatment to all children Teens and adults at an outpatient level
• Provide information to the inhouse Pediatricians regarding continuous dental care to enable continuity of care
• Participate in Health promotion activities when needed
• Write Periodic reports as will be agreed upon by the head of clinical services
• Support and participate in General staff meetings, as well as professional meetings
• Ensure thorough and detailed Documentation for all patients
• Carry out any other relevant assignments as advised by the head of clinical services
Qualifications
• A degree in Dentistry from a recognized University
• Minimum 5 years experience in a busy and reputable institution
• Must have evidence of completion of one year of internship from a recognized institution
• Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
• Must be competent in radiological imaging and interpretation
• Must have a good attitude, Patience and compassion towards Child clients, good interpersonal skills and good customer service skills
• Post graduate training and or experience in Pediatric dentistry is an added advantage
• Passionate about paediatric dentistry
• Experience with children is an added advantage
• Team player, flexible
• Should be able to handle children well.
