Job Profile
The Design Engineer will report to the Project Manager. He/She will be to be responsible for creating and developing refrigeration and heating systems for commercial and residential properties.

Responsibilities
• Make load calculations to determine how much heating and cooling power various equipment must put out in order to heat or cool spaces when needed.
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints for new construction projects. They also draft new plans to design ductwork and piping systems.
• Calculate ventilation requirements based on the types of systems needed.
• Determine costs for heating and cooling systems and write up detailed budget estimates.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects and engineers when designing heating and cooling systems.
• Follow all building codes and obtain proper building permits when necessary

Qualifications
• A Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A valid Engineering license.
• Excellent knowledge in Autocad. Knowledge in Revit is an added advantage
• 3 or more years' field and project planning experience.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
• The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Excellent project management and supervision skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
