A leading provider of medical services in East Africa is seeking to recruit aDirector of Nursing and Quality. The successful candidate will assess, evaluate and set up very high nursing care standards and objectives for the organization. He/she will also oversee quality assurance of the various units as per the laid down accreditation and regulatory standards. The ideal candidateMust have experience in a similar role with a prestigious health care organisation.
Qualifications:
Sc. Nursing, MBA.

10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years as Administrative Head / Chief Nurse.

Extensive Clinical and Nursing Leadership experience.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations.

Understanding best practices in nursing and healthcare administration procedures.

Statistical Analysis.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in multitasking and handling stressful situations.

Planning and Execution.

Problem-solving & decision making.

Influencing ability.

Responsibilities

Develops, maintain, and implement nursing policies that conform to updated standards of nursing practice.

Collaborate with medical superintend, HODs and other external institutions for the improvement of health care service.

Develops and coordinate quality assurance programs for nursing services and monitor compliance with the standards and ensure that the quality of nursing meets patient needs.

Develops and implement a medical emergency program for the nursing department.

Submit a quarterly quality assurance report.

Oversee the quality inspections and implementation of quality programs.

Discovering and supporting growth opportunities for the hospital.
