Qualification:Must have a master’s degree in Education or equivalent.At least 10 years of leadership & teaching experience in an IB World School.Experience with co-curricular youth entrepreneurship & Leadership programs.Proven experience in establishing standards of teaching & learning.Ability to develop a curriculum that is innovative and supported by reflective, creative and responsive teaching.Experience in the use of emerging technologies to enhance and extend teaching and learning experiences.Experience in modeling the highest standard of professional practice and interaction with students.Ability to foster a supportive environment for students and staff to realize their full potential.Work as a collaborative & supportive member of the Academy Executive Committee in its planning, implementation, monitoring and reviewing strategic & operational plan.Coordinate & drive all processes related to, not only meeting but exceeding the requirements & expectations of the International Baccalaureate Organisation.Oversee the management & delivery of a dynamic, modern, seamless curriculum that leverages the best use of technology to enhance teaching & learning.Take ownership of the development of innovative programs that nature leadership and entrepreneurial skills.Drive the application for, & sustainability of, international educational affiliations.Develop the Academy’s international recognition.Promote research into & implementation of pedagogical best practice within but not limited to the IB Curricula.Ensure student improvement & achievement across all learning areas.Oversee the design & implementation of professional & continuous learning opportunities for faculty staff.Oversee the management of all faculty staff.Take responsibility for faculty staff performance management & appraisal system.Plan, implement, monitor & take full responsibility for budgets in all areas of teaching & learning.Work closely with the human resource department in the recruitment of teachers & other key personnel in faculty.Oversee & drive student achievement intervention plan.In collaboration with the Head of Student life, ensure the necessary child safeguarding & protection training, policies and approaches are implemented & monitored.
