Job Overview We are looking for Drivers/Valet to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our guests by parking and retrieving their vehicles as needed. The responsibilities include greeting guests, unloading luggage, and parking cars on behalf of our guests. You will also be required to transport the hotel's guests upon arrival from the airport, departure to the airport and any other driving-related duties and responsibilities as per the business needs. You will also be required to answer guest questions regarding local attractions, hotel amenities and the available services we offer. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for assisting the guests in any travel or destination regarding issues by applying his/ her knowledge of the local area Responsible to ensure the safety of the guests while travelling Responsible for ensuring the security of guest belongings while travelling Welcome guests at the airport and maintain positive conversations Assist the guests with the luggage as and when required Provide complimentary water and cold towels (as per the hotel's standard operating policy SOP) once the guest is seated comfortably in the car Ensure that all payments are made at the hotels through the front-office agents Forward or report all guest complaints, problems or incidents to the manager on duty or Front Office manager Responsible to park the car at designated parking areas and also follow the parking policy Obey all traffic and driving regulations like speed limit etc. at all times Keep the vehicle spotless in both exterior and interior appearance In charge of the maintenance of his vehicle service dues, cleaning, keeping and running condition. Able to provide information on hotel amenities, activities, restaurants and any places of interest near the hotel Able to provide details on hotel room features like Wi-Fi, minibar, tea coffee maker and other amenities if asked by the guest Ensure effective handover from the earlier shift and sign on the log book Practice accident prevention measures Maintain the parking spaces and key cabinet and ensure cleanliness is to the maximum Act as backup for the Front of House Agent and as a messenger Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary - Check oil and tyres properly and keep the service vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside Keep track of timely car insurance renewals Update monthly mileage records Maintain log book of each service vehicle daily Requirements, Skills & Abilities Able to file the record of the timings for which the vehicle was used and the purpose to his/ her superior Able to comply with all the traffic/ road rules and regulations of the state while also following the policies of the hotel authorities Able to keep a record of all the incidents while driving, for example, any accidents or tickets Able to ensure safe and easy travel for the customers/ guests to their destinations or the hotel Familiar with Nairobi roads and its environs Able to effectively use Google Maps or other GPS-enabled apps when required Excellent customer service skills Proven driving experience in h=the service industry is required Powered by JazzHR
