Job Summary

We are a non-governmental organization located in Mara- Narok county. We require a Farm Coordinator to run day to day activities of the farm and supervising the labour.

Job Description

Requirements for Appointment:
• The holder of this position must have a Diploma in agriculture
• Computer skills and good in preparing reports
• Have at least 2 years of continuous work experience in a busy vegetable commercial farm
• A rider’s license is required

Duties and responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility in farm activities from land preparation, planting, harvest to dispatch
• Be able to identify and scout for pest and diseases and plan pest management measures
• Irrigation and fertilization of the crops as prescribed for every crop
• Job allocation to employees
• Conducting all relevant crop husbandry and cultural practices as weeding Etc.
• Ensuring health and safety of all employees under you while identifying Hazards
• Training employees to ensure they effectively perform their duties
• Maintaining farm tools and updating all relevant farm records
• Capable of handling grievances and disputes among the employees
• Regular communication to your supervisor in the various aspects in crop production
• Able to handle and adhere to waste management procedures
