Job Description

Our
Client, a leading miller headquartered in the Coastal region and a marketer of a
broad portfolio of quality Animal Feed products is seeking to recruit a
competent and qualified individual to fill in their Animal Feed Mill,
Production Manager role.

Reporting
to Directors, the primary responsibility for this role will be to manage the milling process for all
types of grains, overseeing activities such as handling of various milling
machinery, maintenance of process parameters, inspection of raw material and
finished goods, to achieve the desired quality and quantity of products while
maintaining food safety and hygiene in the work environment.

Qualification
and Attributes

·
Relevant
engineering qualifications e.g. Mechanical Engineering
·
Milling
qualifications from a reputable training institution
·
Milling
experience of over 10 years is mandatory with at least last 7 years as Chief
Miller.
·
An
understanding of flour milling processes: Milling School Operatives
Certificate.
·
Practical
milling & problem-solving skills.
·
Ability
to communicate clearly and lead by example.
·
Basic
knowledge of grain and flour characteristics and end use
·
Food
standards of all grains milled
·
Operating
different types of milling equipment
·
Training
in Food Safety Standards and Regulations

·
Training
in GMP, HACCP, QMS, IT systems and ERP as well as bulk handling and silo
storage / fumigation is an added advantage.

A competitive
