Job Description
Globology is a catamaran ferry manufacturer and operator with activities on Lake Victoria in Kenya .
We offer safe and affordable transport of passengers and goods on Lake
Victoria, providing the essential link between the lakes' islands and
the mainland.
Our catamaran ferries are 24 meters long and can carry up to 130 passengers.
Due to our rapid expansion we are looking for Captains with a coxswain
and STCW qualification (class1 captain is an added advantage)
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that all operations are aligned with the company policy to
provide better and safer rural water transport for all people living on
the shores of Lake Victoria.
Ensure that all passengers are treated with respect and friendliness.
Responsible for daily vessel operations.
Ensuring that the vessel fulfill all National, International, Industry and Company requirements and standards.
Encouraging awareness and compliance by all personnel of business
development initiatives, customer friendliness skills and customer
feedback reporting procedures.
Implement customer friendliness training for ship crew
Establishing good relations with Local Authorities, Maritime
Authorities, suppliers, Insurance companies, agents, beach masters, BMUs
and local communities
