The position holder will be responsible for the provision and the maintenance of timely, accurate, complete and reliable financial reports to facilitate decision making at SBS Uganda.
He/ She will also ensure that the standards of quality delivery in the Uganda Office are upheld and maintained to recommended best practice across departments and programs.
Job RequirementsThe post holder will be required to have and to demonstrate evidence of the following qualifications, attributes and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a business-related field;
Professional qualification in Finance or Accounting such as CPA or ACCA;
At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities
Payroll: Provide support by ensuring that the Payroll posting is done and it matches the departmental budget
Financial reporting: Prepare management reports by – 5th of every month;
General ledger clean-up for management reports; ensure that all the accounts in KFS are properly reconciled
Approve payment vouchers and ensure that all payments are properly supported and have met all the tax and statutory requirements
Ensure that all the audit schedules are prepared on time, be the main lead and contact person in the audit process
Reconciliations of all the current accounts and other related party transactions
Prepare financial reports for the Uganda Office
Preparation of Files as required by the Programs Manager/ Associate
Identify suppliers and negotiate procurement terms with the guidance of the Operations Manager
