The role also requires a high degree of ethics and integrity and leadership on governance and risk management whilst ensuring effective flow of credible financial information to parent /Group company, the board and, where necessary, external parties such as investors or financial institutions.Principal Duties & Responsibilities (key Performance Areas)Management of Finance TeamDirect and control finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.Monthly Reporting & Business PerformanceOversee and ensure the Rentokil Initial PLC Group monthly reporting is completed accurately and on time.Monitor business performance and provide strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met.Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.Presents financial reports to executives, board members, investors, and other stakeholders.Cash & Treasury ManagementSupport the Accounts receivable function across the EA region to ensure optimal and consistent performance to deliver the cash collections and DSO targets (country & branch)Oversee all treasury activities and compliance with Group Treasury policy including the opening of new bank accounts across EA , supplier payments, obtaining bank guarantees and ensuring that internal controls are being adhered toManaging all bank approvals across EA pertaining to intercompany payments, dividend payments and loan funding arrangements where requiredBudgetingOperate the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes and deliver high quality management information to ensure a clear understanding of the profitability and business performance. In particular ensure that the AOP process is well communicated and defined. Provide detailed analysis on Budget inputs and outputs.Audit & ControlTake responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively.Preparation and review of external reporting material and ensure all statutory regulations complied with.Manage the annual audit process with external auditors and ensure no material control weaknessesManage any internal audits, instructed by the Rentokil Initial Group and ensure action plans are put in place and followed through for any issues that arise.Company SecretarialManage the Company secretarial function for the legal entities operating in East AfricaDrafting of board minutes and resolutions as requiredTaxationManage the overall tax compliance across the regionProcurementSupporting the Procurement Manager to identify and deliver cost saving initiativesProvide support and guidance regarding procurement of vehicle fleet and the Fleet management function with the assistance from outsourced Fleet AdministratorMergers and AcquisitionsAct as Finance subject matter expert on the M&A project team ensuring the successful integration of any newly acquired legal entities with a focus on system integration, financial controls setup, legal compliance and property integrationOtherActing as the legal custodian to support the business on all legal related matters, including customer contract reviews and legal reporting responsibility to the UKManagement CommitteeMeets deadlines in a fast-paced work environmentRequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or other business-related fields from a recognized institution.Must be a qualified accountant with relevant professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K)Significant experience in finance, with at least five years in senior management, and managing a professional teamGood knowledge and evidence of application of: IFRS, tax legislation, Companies Act, GAAP. Saban - Oxley and any other relevant legislation required.Service Industry experience - beneficialThe successful candidate will be an existing Finance Director or a comparable senior Finance leader with significant experience. They must be able to demonstrate the financial and commercial leadership, acumen, credibility and experience required to be a successful Finance Director. Treasury management will be considered a positive attribute. They must be a sophisticated leader who can successfully manage a broad range of stakeholder and team relationships in a global matrix environment. This must be coupled with a strong intellect, a growth mindset and a high degree of curiosity.
