With a focus on East Africa as a starting point, We are building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle and associated battery swap network to drive a better experience for our customers.

You will be joining a bold team consisting of leading engineers, operators, and entrepreneurs hailing from companies that include Tesla, Apple, Google, SRAM, Ola Electric, Dott, LiveWire, Lucid, Bolt, Microsoft, SafeBoda, Sun Mobility, among many others.
What we are looking for We are seeking a mid-career Finance Manager to manage and oversee financial operations at our Nairobi office, reporting directly to the CFO.
The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with strong knowledge of local compliance, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
This role is essential in ensuring that our financial operations in Kenya run smoothly, transparently, and efficiently, supporting our ambitious mission to drive the electric transition in East Africa.
What does the job involve Manage all financial operations for us in Kenya and global entities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Support implementation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly internal reporting and budgeting processes.
Maintain budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure alignment with company financial objectives.
Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate taxes, and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of required documentation.
Establish and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
Work closely with the global finance team to align local operations with our broader financial goals.
Qualifications 8-10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a corporate context at a multinational corporation or fast-growing company.
A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification or equivalent is required.
Deep knowledge of Kenyan and other East African tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Experience with manufacturing, supply chain, export / import, and inventory finance and inter-company transfer pricing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to manage financial operations, improve processes, and implement controls.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global and local teams.
High level of reliability, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
Self-starter with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, unstructured work environment.
Nice to Have: Familiarity with tax and reporting standards in Tanzania and Uganda.
Experience in the electric vehicle, clean energy, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
Familiarity with Odoo as an ERP and accounting software, or other equivalent ERPs.
Exposure to managing accounts for both product and service-based business models Benefits Benefits package based on experience.
