Job Summary
The position will be responsible for supporting all the primary financial and accounting transactions in the organization and ensure financial transactions and records are undertaken and maintained in accordance with internal and external financial requirements and in compliance with the laws applicable in Kenya.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
·
Provide advice and information on financial and
cash flow matters including controls.
·
Prepare
invoices, request vouchers/forms and monthly financial transactions and journal
entries into the Accounting software;
·
Prepare financial
information to support the annual and periodic external audits according to the
auditing schedule.
·
Prepare monthly payroll, issue disbursements for appropriate
taxes and prepare direct deposits into employee accounts.
· Prepare tax reports and file returns with relevant authorities.
·
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial
reports for all stakeholders.
·
Maintain an updated assets register, payments documentation and
receipts, books and files of accounts and the accounting manual.
·
Conduct and perform internal audit and facilitate
external Audit exercises.
·
Undertake
cheque transactions, accurate posting of transactions and bank statement
reconciliations.
·
Ensure
that incomes are correctly accounted for and deposited into the bank accounts.
·
Responsible
for petty cash, and audit the petty Cash books, files and boxes monthly.
·
Perform monthly client reconciliations with client statements
and the Accounting system balances.
·
Make monthly tax returns for VAT and withholding tax.
Essential Knowledge:
·
Excellent written and oral
English Language skills
·
Should have a CPA (K) or at
least CPA Part 2 and currently pursuing Part 3 (K) or equivalent. A bachelor’s
degree in the relevant field will be an advantage.

Excellent analytical and
numerical skills.
·
Fluency in Microsoft Office
suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
·
Excellent Time management
skills
Essential Experience:
·
At least 4 years of
relevant work experience.
·
Experience working with an
ERP system.
·
A thorough understanding of
accounting concepts and financial procedures for SMEs.
·
Proven experience of being
proactive by identifying areas of concern or areas for improvement.
