Job Description/Requirements
Job Purpose
The Financial Institutions Officer reports to the Chief Representative Officer. The Financial Institutions Officer is tasked with developing and delivering private and investment banking services to financial Institutions.
Responsibilities
· Establishing and on-boarding new FI and Correspondent relationships by requesting for the relevant KYC documentation for review and confirmation.
· Establish, Manage and promote cordial relationships with international Banks, Local Commercial banks, Non-bank Financial Institutions, and development of Financial Institutions to facilitate seamless transactions.
· Ensure compliance to Bank Operational Risk Policy, Anti-Money Laundering Prevention policy and other relevant policies to ensure compliance to internal and external controls.
· Develop, promote and support growth of the bank business through managing own portfolio and correspondence relationship;
· Protectively Cross-Sell products, investments and other banking solutions to maximize business
· Ensuring that all queries and complaints pertaining to FIs are addressed and resolved in a timely manner, so as to maintain high level service customer service.
· Acquire and manage FI Relationship by constantly reviewing their business needs on a case by case basis.
· Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve sales volumes and revenues as per agreed budget
Qualifications and competencies
· Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields
· At least Five (5) years’ experience in the banking industry mainly in Financial Institutions(FI’s).
· CISI Certification is required.
· Strong relationships with Institutional Customers
· Demonstrating excellent communications skills internally and externally.
· Able to work independently and effectively within a team
· Knowledge of basic credit risk assessment
· Strong Knowledge of applicable compliance rules and regulations and corporate policies
· Strong experience in managing Institutional relationships
· Expert Knowledge of products including Cash Management, Trade Finance, Treasury and Global Markets, and Lending/Syndications
· Good Knowledge of Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, Commodities and Equities, including Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Lending Syndications
· Strong knowledge of MS tools.
· Good experience in Selling Global Markets products
