Job Description
Fleet and Logistics officer
Ø Managing of a fleet of
company vehicles and drivers.
Ø Plan, organize and coordinate
transport activities of the organization to ensure smooth operations.
Ø Maintaining
detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspections.
Ø Serve
as contact persons for transport for all workers within assigned territories.
Ø Develop and
implement strategies that will ensure efficiency in the operations of the
company.
Ø Monitor operations to
ensure that company drivers comply with administrative policies and procedures,
safety rules and government regulations.
Ø Promote safe work
activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and
meeting with individual staff members.
Ø Monitor vehicles
spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.
Ø Scheduling
regular vehicle repair and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
Ø Conduct investigations
in cooperation with government agencies and insurance company to determine
causes of accidents.
Ø Prepare management
recommendations, such as proposed fee, inspection, insurance and tariff increases.
Ø Provide administrative
and technical assistance on transport and logistic matters.
Ø Review development
plans for transportation system effects, infrastructure requirements, or
compliance with applicable transportation regulations.
Ø Responsible for
registration and licensing of company vehicles and renewal of insurance.
Ø Collaborate with
engineers to research, analyse, or resolve complex transportation issues.
Requirements
Ø Diploma in Logistics
or Transport
Ø At least 3 years’
experience in the same position
Ø Should have a Valid
Driving License
Ø Experience in
Telecommunication Industry is an added advantage.
Ø Should possess good
communication skills, both written and oral.
