We are looking for highly organizedcandidates with good quantitative ability for the position of Fleet Manager.Fleet Managers are responsible for assisting in the recruitment of qualitydrivers into the fleet, maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing andinspection and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operationalefficiency, among other duties.
Moreover, Fleet Managers will need todiscipline drivers who are not making efficient use of their time, requiringexcellent leadership and decision-making skill.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.• Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.

• Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.

• Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.

• Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.

• Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.

• Complying with NTSA Department of Transport laws and regulations.

• Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

• Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.

• Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.

• Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.

• Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.

Requirements:

• Previous fleet managers experience: 2 years plus

• Experience from Matatu / taxi industry

• Has done driver interviews and recruiting

• Can follow up on driver payments

• Can independently keep track, monitor, and report on the vehicles and driver statuses

• Can handle vehicle repair and maintenance independently

• Previous experience from cars, spare parts, and sourcing of them

Job Requirements
Required education
: Bachelor's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 2 years
