Job Description
The Fleet manager will be responsible for planning, communication, policy development, ensuring statutory compliance and administration of all fleet management processes. Responsible for ensuring fleet safety compliance, manage fleet budgets and controlled costs with most effective fleet allocations.
Role Responsibility:
a)Operational Roles
Responsible for a fleet of over 180 vehicles including Trucks, small sized vehicles, Tuk Tuk’s and motorcycles.
Provide documented analytic reports on vehicle usage and detailed tracking information for the entire motor pool of the company.
Planning, organizing and managing of the allocation of all vehicles and fleet schedules to maximize optimal efficiency.
Ensure that all vehicles are optimally utilized and allocation schedules effectively done in order to regulate costs/expenses.
Make sure vehicles are always ready and available to meet orders by scheduling and liaising with the sales department in order processing and fulfillment.
Maintain and oversee the tracking of vehicle usage in actual field operations and develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
Generate reports on fuel consumption, monitor fuel usage for all vehicles to their respective drivers to rate and standardize efficiency.
Schedule and coordinate regular vehicle maintenance in conjunction with the workshop manager to ensure operational efficiency
b)Administration Roles
Development and implementation of fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies
Monitoring driver behaviour and ensuring high level of customer service.
Ensure compliance of the company with government regulations that have to do with the transportation industry together insurance officer.
To plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan assigned staff; assign work activities, projects and programs; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma with at least 3 years of experience working with operation, management/administration of fleet.
In-depth knowledge of fleet management solutions, fleet scheduling and transport management systems.
Basic training in motor vehicle maintenance.
Excellent communication and IT skills, Computer Proficiency and Analytical skills.
Proven record in cost management practices.
People management and dispute resolution skills.
