Job Summary

The Frontend Engineer, will work in the Front-End team within the Technology Department. He/ She will deliver on all Front-End related tasks including translating system needs into functional and appealing interactive applications and combining usability with visual design to create functional systems that provide great user experience. He/ She will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, implementing on both sides to deliver simple yet powerful UI/UX to our customers.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in the user requirements gathering process and come up with appropriate solution designs
2.
Carry out feature prototyping using wireframes, storyboards, user
flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate
interaction
3. Development and implementation of approved products
4. Interact with all other teams in the business during all product development cycles
5. Test and validate all built products before deployment
6. Product technical documentation
7. Do peer code reviews for every product that is developed before deployment
8.
Collaborate with the DevOps and Support teams to offer support for live
products, modify existing software, fix issues or perform upgrades
9. Participate in knowledge transfer and product innovation
10. Participate in technical training and mentorship

Job specifications
• BSC degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 2 years proven work experience as a Front-End Engineer; 1 -2 years deploying and maintaining applications
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS and PHP
• Experience working with Unix/Linux OS
• Strong knowledge of web server technologies - Nginx, Apache, IIS
• Good knowledge of building Restful JSON APIs
• Good knowledge of version control preferably using Git
• Knowledge in web application performance & security best practices
• Basic understanding of Caching Technologies e.g. Redis/CDNs
• Experience working on production frontend applications
