A well established textile company in the manufacturing sector with operations across East Africa. They now seek to recruit a dynamic, exceptional and visionary leader with good professional and ethical standing to fill the position of the General Manager, Corporate Services.He/she will be reporting to the Managing Director and be expected to provide strategic leadership and advice to ensure optimal utilization and management of the Company’s resources in the functional areas of Finance, Human Resource and Administration, Sales & Marketing, Strategy & Planning, Administration, Information and Communication Technology and Corporate Communications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Must be a Kenyan citizen.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business related field such as (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Human Resource Management/Development, Computer Science, Public Administration or any other equivalent from a recognized University).
Must have a Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management/Development, Computer Science, Public Administration or any other equivalent from a recognized University.
Must have at least ten (10) years cumulative work experience, five (5) of which should have been at Managerial level in a reputable organization.
Certificate in leadership course not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Must be compliant with the provisions of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya and avail clearance certificate from KRA, HELB, EACC, CRB and Certificate of Good Conduct.
Must be a member of a professional body and in good standing.
Responsibilities
Initiate the formulation of administrative policies, systems and procedures for the organization;
Establish and maintain sound financial, human resource, administrative, ICT procedures in compliance with statutory regulations;
Participate in the preparation of Strategic plans;
Provide technical guidance on matters Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, ICT, Sales and Marketing and Strategy and Planning;
Co-ordination of directorate activities by providing responsible advice and counsel to the Company;
Management and coordination of Financial Services;
Prepare Board and Management/Statutory reports;
Co-ordinate recruitment, deployment, remuneration, staff performance, development and discipline of human resources;
Management of assets and services to support each core functions in administration/logistics requirements to facilitate service delivery;
Co-ordinate information exchange with all stakeholders and the public to ensure customer expectations are met;
