Our client is a company that distributes power generators within the East African region. With over 20 years in operation they one stop shop for a total engineered solutions that include Supply, design, project management, installation, commissioning and full after sales service. They are looking forward to filling a Generator Sales Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the key accounts that contribute to the growth of business while still creating enquiries and converting them into sales.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the Sales including Tender business of products related with Power Industry.
• Achieve growth and hit sales targets.
• Analyze and forecast the sales volume based on market potential.
• Responsible for achieving budgets – Sales, GP, NP and Net Working Capital.
• Develop working relations with Key customers of major players of Power generation including the contractors, collaborators, subsidiaries and public sector undertaking generating power.
• Tender business, Preparing Technical and commercial offers and order finalizations.
• Develop working relationships with consultants and third party service providers etc.
• To keep track of competition moves, their products, price, performance.
• Build and promote strong contractors / customer relationships by understanding and fulfill their needs.
• Responsible for keeping the Principals /Manufactures updated about the market information and competition activities.
• Concentrate on payments and debt collection.
DESIRED CANDIDATE
• Minimum 5 years experience in Power generation business/industry.
• Should be in the Managerial position for at least 2 years.
• Should be experienced in handling Sales /Marketing, Business Development, Costing, Project Management; know how about Power generation operations and/ or Contractors, Consultants etc.
• Product wise exposure to Engine, Generators, Electricals, Consumables and related equipment will be necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Engineering graduate in Electrical/Mechanical.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Technical Sales /Service/Parts training conducted by reputed automotive manufactures will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to talk to people from all social groups, including high end decision makers and to close deals.
• Well-presented and articulate.
• Ability to take the initiative.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Good persuasive and interpersonal skills.
MONTHLY GROSS SALARY:Negotiable
