Cornerstone Preparatory Academy is a private primary and secondary schools located at Hill stop, at the base of Mt. Longonot along the Trans African Highway. We are currently seeking for qualified Geog/History professional teacher to fill the roles listed below.

**GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION.
The Duties and Responsibilities of the teachers will include but not limited to:**
• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans
• Prepare classroom for class activities & be able to use relevant technology to support instruction
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
• Prepare required reports on students and activities
• Perform certain pastoral duties including student support, counselling students with academic problems and providing student encouragement
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations
• Participate in department, school meetings, parent meetings and scheduled trainings
• Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
• Communicating, consulting and co-operating with other members of the school staff, including those having posts of special responsibility and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of students
• Any other duty assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS.
• Diploma / Bachelor of Education from a recognized college or university in Maths /Chemistry.
• Two or more years of experience
• Fluent in English and Swahili
• Well developed and mature professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact with children teenagers, colleagues at all organizational levels.
• Familiar with different pedagogies of teaching.
• Patient, innovative and knowledgeable of classroom management and student discipline
• Tutoring experience
• Dedicated and God fearing Christian
• Assertive discipline competent
