Role PurposeWe are looking for a suitably qualified and strategic Director to lead and elevate the effectiveness of our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a best-in-class project management strategic framework, optimizing project delivery across the bank, and ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of a comprehensive EPMO strategy, aligning project management practices with the bank's overall business objectives.Oversee all aspects of the EPMO function, including project portfolio management, methodology development, resource allocation, and risk management.Champion a culture of project excellence by implementing robust project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMI).Establish and maintain a centralized project management repository for processes, templates, and best practices.Develop and deliver training programs to enhance project management skills across the bank.Lead the EPMO team in providing guidance, support, and oversight to project managers throughout the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, closure).Implement a project portfolio management framework to prioritize, select, and manage all bank-wide projects based on strategic alignment and risk considerations.Develop and maintain project reporting dashboards to provide senior management with real-time insights into project performance and portfolio health.Manage and optimize resource allocation across the project portfolio, ensuring efficient utilization of personnel and budget.Identify and mitigate potential project risks and develop contingency plans.Partner with business unit leaders to understand their needs and ensure project deliverables meet strategic objectives.Foster collaboration and communication between stakeholders at all levels.Stay current on emerging trends in project management methodologies and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.Master's degree in computer science, Finance & Banking MIS, or Information Management, operations managementExcellent knowledge of Information Science, Data, Data Systems and Processes.Excellent Project Management, analytical, problem solving and reporting skillsA good knowledge of the information requirements and standard reporting within Financial Services industryMinimum 12 years' work experience, with over 5 years working in a senior level Data Management role.Vast experience in building and leading data science organization or practices as well as successful experience in advocating for data analytics value across a business and to diverse audiences.Proven track record of leading and building high-performing data teams.Strong understanding of data governance best practices and data security principles.Experience developing and implementing a data strategy.Experience working with a variety of data tools and technologies (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, business intelligence tools).A keen understanding of business needs and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
