Details of the offer

• Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the smooth and efficient running of the Gym Facility on day to day basis.
• Ensure all Gym users (members/ guests) are provided with an assured, vigilant, safe and secure environment at all times by adequately supervising the Fitness Studio.
• Fully understand and carry out, where necessary, any safety, emergency, alarm procedures.
• Ensure there is a friendly, sociable and supportive atmosphere within the Fitness Studio. Acknowledge all customers.
• Attain required standard of personal appearance and wear the correct uniform when on duty.
• Ensure all Fitness Studio equipment is inspected daily and maintained as necessary, following procedures and according to manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Ensure Fitness Studio and all equipment is cleaned to appropriate standards daily.
• Assist management in ensuring induction programme remains customer friendly and efficient.
• Ensure Fitness Studio records are maintained up to date and filed correctly
• Update customer programme cards as necessary.
• Update customer workouts when requested.
• Offer advice when asked by customers, support and correct customers when necessary, while at all times being positive and friendly.
• Encourage customers to follow Code of Conduct for Fitness Studios when this is necessary (especially at peak times).
• Assist management in the promotion and marketing of the Fitness Studio.
• Provide training for staff in inductions or other functions as requested by management.
• Act as coach/instructor in special sessions providing advanced fitness instruction where necessary.
• Ensure ancillary equipment is in working order.
• Recommend possible improvements in service delivery to management as necessary.
• Carry out work duties in a way which ensures compliance with Club policy, codes of practice and all Government legislation with regard to hygiene, health and safety, first aid, fire precautions, security and any matters with regard to dealing with the public.
• To maintain and foster good working relationships within the Club and project a positive and professional image of the organization at all times.
• Attend regular team meeting and programmed staff training sessions as detailed by the shift rotas or as specified by the Centre Manager.
• It is essential that the Centre’s team work together to a common aim and team working will be encouraged at all times
