PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide effective leadership for all control centre staff (supervisors and control room operators)
2. Ensuring implementation of the company policies, decisions and escalating all issues which require the attention / decision of the management.
3. Undertake control room staff performance, monitoring, evaluation, situational analysis and reporting to ensure key performance indicators are being met within the control room.
4. Maintain Control room staff’s efficiency and ensuring effective delivery in their roles and responsibilities.
5. Must be able to make effective decisions in response to any dynamic, critical, demand led environment issues arising.
6. Be able to resolve internal staff issues and conflicts so that they don’t impact on the day-to-day running of the control room.
7. Ensure at start of each shift, the post holder is to make sure as per rota staff and resources required in place. And also responsible for planning of future shifts based on demand reporting based on own analysis.
8. Lead a multi-skilled team to promote capability and Control room compliance, quality work standards (SOPs) including appraisal and management of attendance etc.
9. Required to overcome barriers and resolve issues of conflicting priorities through the use of effective interpersonal skills.
10. Building, leading and developing team work in a high-pressure environment.
11. Ensuring efficient monitoring of journeys and journey creations by the control room operators.
12. Most Importantly MUST ensure that that all device tamper and system alerts are reported to the clients in a proper / timely manner.

OTHER SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure that statutory regulations and organizational policies, procedures and Safe System of Work directives are implemented and adhered to at all time.
2. Share best working practices with colleagues to maintain and improve control room centre skills.
3. To undertake any other duties relevant to the post as assigned by the Operations Manager or any other Head of Department.
4. Undertake share specific client’s targeted – Cargo Monitoring and Fleet management reports from time to time as required and by extension other requisite management reports.
REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to work calmly and accurately under intense pressure.
• Available to work on a flexible work schedule, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
• Must be able to work within a function - team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
