Job Purpose:
The Head of Laundry Operations will be responsible for supervising laundry teams, enforcing quality control and ensuring smooth, efficient service from garment pickup to delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a candidate with deep technical expertise in laundry processes and strong team management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of laundry staff including stain removal specialists, washers, pressers, and packers.
Set daily production targets and monitor progress to ensure timely order completion.
Oversee the full cycle of garment care, from pickup to delivery.
Implement and monitor quality control standards for fabric care and cleaning procedures.
Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Maintain laundry equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs as needed.
Collaborate with logistics and customer service teams to ensure efficient and timely service.
Track and report operational metrics using basic digital tools like Google Sheets and mobile apps.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 5 years experience in laundry operations, preferably in hotel, hospital, or commercial laundry settings.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
In-depth understanding of fabric types, stain treatment methods, and commercial laundry machinery.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to delegate responsibilities clearly.
Tech-savvy with the ability to use WhatsApp Business, mobile apps, and basic spreadsheets.
