About the role
The Head of Sales is responsible for spearheading the SaaS sales strategy and leading the growth- and go-to-market strategy that is country, segment (e.g. public & private) and industry (e.g. health & agriculture) specific. The Head of Sales is accountable for business development, securing future revenue (3 year view) aligned with company growth targets, and delivering the SaaS sales targets and performance across all Mezzanine supported sales channels. The Head of Sales will lead the Mezzanine SaaS sales team and support all Vodacom, Vodafone, and non-telco sales channels to develop a best-in-class go-to-market approach, team structure and setup, including target setting and reward system.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and lead effective sales and cross-functional teams in a high growth sector. The individual will have Sub-Sahara Africa work experience in an ICT solutions environment and proven track record in working with multinational corporates with matrix organizations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with regular C-level engagement, both in the public and private sector, and have a strong complex ICT solution sales-, business development-, and negotiation skills.
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in successful complex ICT proposition sales, including infrastructure, software and services
Comfortable in professional discussions and complex solution sales negotiations with 3rd parties on C-Level
Sub-Sahara Africa work experience in an ICT solutions environment and proven track record working with multinational corporates with matrix organizations
Experience building and leading effective sales teams and cross-functional teams in a high growth sector
Excellent presentation and communication skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Advantageous
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or any other relevant field
Sales experience in the social impact industry
