REPORTING TO: DIRECTOR
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Head of Technical will oversee all technical operations, including the design, installation, maintenance, and support of electronic security systems such as CCTV, Access control, alarm systems, perimeter fencing, fire detection, and integrated security management systems. The role demands strong leadership expertise, innovation, client-focused service delivery, and strategic planning to support business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, mentor, and manage the technical team
Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation
Drive innovation by cutting-edge security technologies and systems
Prepare technical proposal, system designs ,and cost estimates
Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards
Design and implement security systems: CCTV, alarm systems, access control, electric fencing, biometric systems, fire detection and integration platforms.
Oversee end-to-end project management from design, costing, and proposal development to installation, commissioning and after-sales support.
Develop and manage the technical department budget, including procurement equipment and software
Identify risks and implement risk mitigation strategies within technical projects and operations.
Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for new service solutions.
Providing technical expertise to Clients and during tender processes.
Act as the technical point of contact for key clients, ensuring excellent services delivery and client satisfaction
Manage service level agreement ( SLAs) and customers support programs
Stay updated with industry trends and recommend upgrades and innovations
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering / Telecommunications or any other related field
Professional certifications will be an added advantage
At least three (3) years experience in technical leadership role, preferably in private security industry
Excellent understanding of Integrated Security Solutions (Intruder Detection and Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Detection and Alarm)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent administration, communication and customer service skills
Valid driving license will be added Advantage
