Job Description/Requirements

Main Responsibilities:
• To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-6 years.
• To manage the day-to-day activities of the setting in accordance with academic plan, Maple Bear
• Global Schools standards, and with eye for brand reputation
• To ensure that the preschool is a safe environment for children, staff and families served
• To develop strong partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
• To oversee and provide leadership for all staff within the preschool

Main Activities:

Management and Oversight
• Responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of the preschool and overall delivery of high-quality service, including budgeting and administration of funds
• Ensuring that the preschool provides a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times
• Ensuring Health & Safety protocols are maintained in the setting through continual risk monitoring
• Implementation, oversight, and compliance of operational and academic policies (mandated by local regulator as well as those mandated by Master Franchisor) and providing advice and recommendations to adapt and evolve policies and processes as necessary.
• Conducting regular Quality Assurance self-assessment to maintain brand and program standards
• Responsible for emergency planning and for action in critical situations
• Working in partnership with Maple Bear Regional Office to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan, annual self-assessment for quality assurance and brand standards
• Ensuring all records are properly maintained in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company
• Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by the Maple Bear Gulf regional corporate office, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives

Academic Stewardship
• Through regular liaison with Maple Bear Global Schools faculty members, Virtual Academic Director, and ongoing professional development, ensuring that the academic program is properly implemented and in accordance with Maple Bear Global Schools academic program standards
• Oversight of lesson planning, which ensures each child is progressing appropriately towards learning goals
Sales and Communication
• Liaising closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement
• Maintaining
• Driving innovation and competitiveness in program offering and pricing strategy through awareness and research of market trends and competitor activity
• Maintaining communication with regional office regarding parent expectations/perspectives
• Maintaining client relationship management (CRM) tools: ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information and data for each potential parent/client

Staffing and Leadership
• Undertaking staffing processes; manage, supervise, and support the preschool staff
• Designating and oversee responsibilities and actions of staff
• To ensure all staff understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies
• Ensuring that teaching materials and other resources are acquired with responsible budget management
• To conduct staff appraisals and supervisions as appropriate and to identify staff training needs

• To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families
