Job Description
Areas of Responsibility:
Model a consistent tone of highest expectations for academic excellence and godly character among staff, students and parents.
Lead marketing effort to ensure high enrollments
Establish and implement academic goals that can facilitate a consistent and continuous school-wide focus on pupils’ achievement.
Monitor the progress report of each pupil that is maintained by class teachers.
Offer leadership in the development of a motivated and competent teaching team, including coaching of teachers.
Oversee preparation of timetables, class schedules and classroom allocation for all classes.
Conduct weekly staff meetings and present a summary of reports of needs of teaching staff members to Management.
Enforce existing rules and school policies and keep abreast of any new regulations affecting learning from the Ministry of Education.
Liaise with Ministry of Education to gain information on national, county and sub-county events such as music, drama, soccer friendly competitions.
Be conversant with NEMIS system and online registration of candidates.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Education Arts
Registered with Teachers Service Commission
Four years teaching experience
Understanding of Competence-Based-Curriculum
Demonstrates experience in diverse instructional approaches
Good reporting skills
Leadership abilities
Interpersonal and communication skills
