Job Description/Requirements

The successful candidate will assist the Group HR Director in the delivery of the human resources strategy across the Region i.e., Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania, and partner with line managers to deliver various departmental plans, in support of the business strategy. The successful candidateMust be well versed with the Employment Laws, have a valid practicing License and have strong Industrial Relations experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Effective talent management and drives change via culture transformation.
• Prepare HR metrics and dashboard reports.
• Manage the company’s Payroll Administration.
• Oversee compensation and benefits with key concepts in reward management.
• Coordinate training activities for the company and carry training needs analysis and a training calendar in line with the training budget.
• Manage and maintain peaceful industrial relations across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, and understands the employment act and laws in the three countries very well.
• Prepare CBA proposal for reviews and provide secretariat services to the CBA committee.
• Handle staff disciplinary processes from drafting show cause, hearing to drafting appropriate warning and termination letters.
• Manage staff welfare, employee conflict and bereavement.
• Experienced in carrying out restructuring and change management processes.
• Advice staff members on emerging local and international trends on both social and environmental issues likely to affect their employment.
• Analyse and validate contractual arrangements with service providers and coordinate administrative activities in conjunction with Legal.
• Plan, co-ordinate and prepare reports pertaining to the department’s performance related obligations.
• Communicate performance expectations and coordinate performance appraisal for the entire organization.
• Ensure the implementation of Human Resource Policy and the company’s regulations in line with relevant legislation and observance by employees.
• Advice and guide Management on all HR practices necessary, in having enhanced productivity and industrial peace. (Enumerate & sensitize staff on grievance handling procedures).
• Provide guidance & counselling, monitoring progress and provide various empowerment initiatives where necessary.
• Liaise with relevant Government Ministries, to ensure adherence to required labour practices and requirements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or its equivalent.
• Higher National Diploma in HR.
• Be an accredited member of the Institute of Human Management (IHRM).
•Musthave a current practicing certificate.
• Possess thorough and practical understanding and application of the Regions labour laws.
• 10 years of experience in Human Resource and Administration. 5 should be in a managerial role.
• Very good in excel and highly analytical.
• Great knowledge in using an ERP system.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Ability to adapt or change to new situations.

Monthly Gross salary:380,000/= depending on experience and qualifications.
