As the HR Officer you will play a pivotal role in managing the HR department. You will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support our expansion plans and ensure the smooth functioning of our workforce.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Establish and manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws and regulations.
Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, interviewing, and on boarding new employees.
Develop and implement effective employee engagement and retention strategies.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
Conduct training programs to enhance employee skills and promote a positive work culture.
Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for management as required.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Be a member of IHRM and holding a practicing licence.
Proven work experience as an HR officer
Experience in the construction industry is preferred though not a must
In-depth knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and regulations.
Strong understanding of HR best practices and industry trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and people management abilities.
