Internal Auditor At Mathenge Technical Training Institute

Mathenge Technical Training Institute is a national public tertiary institution under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. It operates under the Education Act Cap 211 Laws of Kenya. The Institute’s operations are also carried out in accordance with the Government policies and procedures as spelt out in official documents and circulars. It operates under the management of a Board of Governors (BOG) appointed by the Minister in charge of Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MoHEST). The Principal is the institute’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the secretary to the BOG.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate internal audit activities
Implement the Institute audit policy
Carry out internal audit investigations
Ensure implementation of the recommendations of external audits reports
Ensure compliance with relevant statutory obligations Person specification
Holder of Certified Public Accountant certificate (CPA-K Finalist)
Registered with ICPAK or relevant audit body
A Degree in commerce will be an added advantage
Proficiency in Computer applications
Strong human relations and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively, prepare and present reports
