Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) is a State Corporation registered under Legal Notice Number 4 of the State Corporations Act Cap 446 in January 2019 as a Level 6 Tertiary Hospital and is now operational offering specialized referral services.
12. INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGIST - KUTRRH/DCSINRAD/353 – 1 POST
Job Description
The Interventional Radiologist’s job exists to coordinate and provide specialized general medical services, general medical research and training and advise the hospital on Interventional Radiology matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Using x-rays, CT, MRI or other imaging guidance to navigate small instruments, like catheters and needles, through blood vessels and organs to treat a variety of diseases.
ii. Should be able to interpret x-rays, ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs, and other forms of medical imaging.
iii. Should be able to supervise medical students and registrars.
iv. Should be able to participate in research. Minimum Qualifications and Experience
i. Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
ii. Master of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology from a recognized institution.
iii. Fellowship in Interventional Radiology.
iv. Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board as an Interventional Radiologist.
v. Recognition as a specialist by the KMPDC.
vi. Valid Practice License.
vii. Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover.
viii. Proficiency in computer applications.
ix. At least one year’ experience as an Interventional Radiologist in a reputable hospital.
