The UNV will be based in Mbale-Vihiga County in the UNICEF zonal office and travel to the neighbouring counties on a regular basis. Under the direct supervision of the Social Policy Specialist the national UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Responsibilities
Support and strengthen use of the cash transfer Management Information System.
Supports the smooth implementation of the cash transfer MIS for Imarisha programme in Kakamega county and the Boresha programme in Vihiga county
Support day to day administration of Vihiga - Boresha Afya ya Mama and Kakamega – Imarisha afya ya Mama MIS such as but not limited to; supporting change/case management and supporting the payroll generation.
Provide basic and advanced trouble shooting of the MIS user issues.
Provides support on utilization of the online MIS, by ensuring that communication, learning and promotion materials are kept updated and available to reach out to prospect users, and supports the possible expansion of this platform.
Supports the operationalization and strengthening of the MIS governance policies, standard operating procedures, user friendly manuals and training materials.
Support Case management
Improving use of data and information for children.
Provides technical assistance to county governments to strengthen the availability, quality and use of data at all levels decision making for timely decision making and generating reports for managemet decisions
Ensures the preparation of data, analysis and intelligence to support operationalization of Boresha Afya and Imarisha Afya programmes (budget forecasting, monitoring dashboards).
Support validation and quality assurance of data captured in the MIS.
Helping plan monitoring activities and following up on implementation with relevant stakeholders.
Supports improved monitoring and research around social protection impact on child outcomes, and use of data and research findings for strengthening programme results.
Data quality and reporting of the health facilities and the reports linked to the Kenya Health Information Systems (KHIS)

Required relevant work experience
