JHC Consulting is seeking a Junior Project Coordinator to assist our principals with an active mandate as our primary partner expands its regional network across East Africa.
This is a full time, permanent, and fully remote position that focuses on the logistical flow of our advisory work.
Because our firm provides private counsel to board committees and chief executives, the coordination of our written records requires high levels of accuracy and discretion.
You will support the lifecycle of our strategy memoranda, ensuring that every document undergoes the necessary scrutiny and revision before it is finalized for the client.
Employment setup This role is a permanent, full time engagement with JHC Consulting, a firm based in the United States.
It is a fully remote position and we are accepting applications from candidates based in Kenya who can overlap with standard business hours.
The successful candidate must already possess the legal right to work in their country of residence.
This is a paid position and we offer attractive pay.
The hiring process involves an initial application review, followed by a short writing assessment and an online interview with one of our principals.
We aim to conclude the hiring process within three weeks of the first interview.
The role The Junior Project Coordinator manages the administrative spine of our consulting engagements.
You will be responsible for tracking the progress of various written mandates, from the initial reading phase through to the final signed memorandum.
A typical week involves maintaining our project databases, ensuring that internal deadlines for draft reviews are met, and preparing document templates for our senior advisors.
You will also assist in organizing the background materials used for our strategic analysis, such as financial reports and board transcripts.
While you will not be the primary author of the advice, you will ensure the record is complete and that every claim in a document has a corresponding source in our files.
What we are looking for A basic understanding of project management principles and common tools such as Notion, Excel, or Trello.
The ability to write clear, professional English without reliance on jargon or filler.
A background in business administration, law, or humanities, or currently studying toward a related degree.
Personal discipline to manage a remote workload without constant supervision.
Extreme attention to detail when proofreading and versioning documents.
Comfortable handling confidential information within a private advisory setting.
Capacity to work 40 hours per week during core business hours.
A preference for clear written communication over long meetings.
