Laboratory Technologist

Diploma in any of the following fields:Medical Laboratory Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Sciences, FoodScience and Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology or anyother equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. RegistrationCertificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians andTechnologists Board (KMLTTB) where applicable, or any other recognizedregulatory body;
iii. Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical LaboratoryTechnicians and Technologists where applicable;
iv. Proficiency in computerapplication; and
v. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Responsibilities

Receiving/collecting, recording ofspecimens;
ii. Processing and analyses;
iii. Preparing reagents;
iv. Recordingand reporting of results;
v. Dispatching the results for clinical/Researchmanagement;
vi. Routine and daily maintenance of laboratory equipment;
vii.Ensuring adherence to biosafety and biosecurity guidelines; viii. Taking partin preparation of Standards Operations Procedures (SOPs).

: Bachelor's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 2 years
